Additionally, in many pipes, bacteria accumulate in the rough and uneven parts of the pipe (forming biofilm), gradually blocking the flow of water, which leads to pressure drop and negatively affects drinking water quality. The low hydraulic roughness of U-PVC pipes, by preventing biofilm formation, not only reduces pressure drop but also prevents sludge deposition in sewer networks and reduces the likelihood of contamination in drinking water distribution networks. Therefore, the maintenance costs of these pipes are low, and the initial design of the pipeline is optimized.

Water Quality:

The use of appropriate formulations for the production of U-PVC pipes ensures that these pipes can be used for drinking water transfer in accordance with NSF 61-62 standards, ensuring that lead, tin, and other toxic elements such as mercury, chromium, cadmium, and barium are below the permissible limits of the standard.

Flame Resistance:

U-PVC (polyvinyl chloride) pipes are difficult to ignite and do not continue to burn in the absence of an external flame source. Its self-ignition temperature is 454 degrees Celsius, which is much higher than most building materials. When PVC burns, HCl gas is released, which prevents oxygen from reaching the ignited area. This is why PVC is referred to as a self-extinguishing material.
